Equity CommitteePurpose: The
purpose of this committee is to provide guidelines
to the district and school board on equity related
issues.
Membership: The current membership of the
Equity Committee represents a wide background of
people that reflects the diversity of the district.
The common bond that brings these individuals
together is their concern for our students and their
passion to improve our schools. The committee meets
on a regular basis to discuss various items of
interests – cultural proficiency, course/program
enrollment trends, building report cards,
anti-bullying curriculum (Olweus Program, Second
Step), and the needs of our community. Meetings are
held approximately three times a year during a week
night in the Board Room from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
