WILLIAMS STUDENT RECEIVED BLANK SCHOLARSHIP

Williams 8th grader Michelle Marsden was nominated and accepted to the Blank Summer Institute for the Arts and Sciences at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Every middle and junior high school in Iowa was invited to nominate one student in grades 7 or 8 for each of six academic/arts areas. Michelle has been selected for the Math Problem Solving class and was awarded an $850 Myron and Jacquelin Blank Scholarship. Out of all the nominees, only 15 students were selected for the math class.

Students who successfully complete the 2005 Blank Summer Institute for the Arts and Sciences will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be used during their freshman year at the University of Iowa.
