NORTH HIGH WILDCAT THEATER PRODUCTIONS
SELECTED FOR AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL THEATER FESTIVAL
IN EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND
North High Wildcat Theater
Productions, under the direction of Helen Brennan,
is honored to have been selected as one of
approximately 40 schools out of more than 200 who
were nominated from throughout the United States to
participate in the American High School Theater
Festival at the Fringe held in Edinburgh, Scotland
in August of 2007.
North Theater was selected after a rigorous
application process. Schools are nominated by a
state, regional or national theater entity, and
receive an application, which requires directors to
outline their curricular and creative points of view
in great detail. Eight different board members,
university theater professionals, evaluate
applicants and make selections. Wildcat Theater is
fortunate to have been selected.
The Fringe Festival, a unique event whose purpose is
to showcase creativity, is the largest performing
arts festival in the world, featuring over 18,000
different performances of music, theater, dance, and
comedy. North Drama, recognized for its innovative
and entertaining productions, will have the
opportunity to perform a play of their choice on an
international stage.
North High drama students, their parents, teachers
and administrators are heavily involved in
fundraising activities to finance their two week
stay in Scotland and England.
We are currently seeking donations to make the cost
of the trip affordable to all North Theater students
who want to participate. Donations may be sent to:
